The Role

The focus of this role is to maintain existing and plan, build, and execute new features in the area of power delivery and reliability for CPU cores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand, develop ability to maintain existing features in the power delivery, thermal management, and reliability domains for CPU Cores.
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers; power integrity, thermal management & reliability engineers to maintain existing features and develop new features in AMD CPU Cores.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in IP level silicon design methodologies.
  • Strong EE fundamentals.
  • Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++.
  • Experience with circuit and finite element simulators.
  • Automating workflows in a distributed compute environment.
  • Experience in the C++ language, preferably on Linux with exposure to Windows platform.
  • Scripting language experience:
    Perl, Ruby, Makefile, shell preferred.
  • Exposure to leadership or mentorship is an asset.
Academic Credentials
  • Ph.D. or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering.
