AboutThe Role
We are looking for an Engineering Technician
. This role requires a blend of technical know-how and organizational skills to ensure smooth operations in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
- Assist engineers with hands‑on tasks like assembling, testing, and troubleshooting prototypes, components, and equipment. Includes detailed solder rework, thermocouple welding / wiring / labeling, and harness making.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols in the office and lab environments. Maintain and enforce a clean and organized workspace.
- Track and maintain inventory of engineering tools, parts, and supplies. Order new stock as needed and ensure equipment is properly calibrated.
- Communicate with vendors for purchasing, service, and technical support for lab and office equipment.
- Help track project timelines, materials, and progress. Ensure the engineering team has the necessary resources to meet deadlines.
- Provide basic tech support for office hardware and software, troubleshooting minor IT issues.
- High School diploma or equivalent required – prefer associate’s degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in an engineering or technical environment, providing hands‑on support for design, testing, and assembly of equipment. Harness making, exceptional soldering skill, thermocouple and data acquisition management a must.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and basic IT troubleshooting.
- Deep expertise with tools and equipment used in an engineering lab or workshop.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work well with engineers, vendors, and other office staff.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving and task management.
