This full‑time/direct‑hire Field Services Engineer position is with a growing international semiconductor equipment manufacturer located in Austin, TX. Base salary for a 35‑hour work week: $90,000‑$100,000 ($50‑54.95/hour; eligible for overtime pay).

• Provide field service engineering activities to company customers independently.
• Troubleshoot more complicated products and problems.
• Receive service calls from customers.
• Determine customer needs or problems and respond accordingly.
• Provide over‑the‑phone consultation and advice to customers and respond to emergency customer situations or schedule and repair company products at customer site.
• Perform preventative maintenance on company products.
• Establish and manage a local maintenance service.
• Act as a liaison between customers and the applications programmer for requests involving application changes.
• Research market needs and customer applications of company products.
• Submit application reports to management in a timely manner.
• Support sales activities and maintain good relationships with customers.
• Participate in sales meetings as required.
• Provide training to other field service engineers as needed.
• Submit service reports, weekly reports, and expense reports to management in a timely manner.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 2 years in an engineering role or as a field service engineer within the semiconductor industry.
• Desire to be customer‑facing.
• Occasional domestic travel to other client cities as needed.
