Role OverviewThe Sky Grid team is looking for a Systems Validation and Verification Engineer to support planning and execution of system validation, integration, and verification activities. In this role you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create test plans, design and execute manual and automated test cases, and document and maintain test results. You will ensure that industry standards and regulations, along with quality assurance practices, are implemented.
You will support integration testing which involves validating interfaces, data flow, and communication protocols to identify and resolve integration issues, and manage problem reports through resolution.
- Identify the validation and verification activities for system and subsystem requirements
- Develop validation and verification procedures and reports
- Identify the test setup and environment for “black‑box” systems
- Maintain validation and verification matrices
- Review system and subsystem requirements for accuracy, completeness, and testability
- Plan and conduct validation, integration, and verification activities for system and subsystem requirements per ARP 4754A criteria
- Work closely with functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures
- Identify and design the test setup and environment for “black‑box” systems
- Develop and execute test cases and methodologies, including manual and automated test approaches
- Execute complex test procedures in an evolving environment while identifying and documenting modifications
- Document and maintain test results and test reports
- Ensure the testing process aligns with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance practices
- Prepare documentation, artifacts, and traces to support delivery and review of program deliverables
- Collaborate with customers in support of system integration
- Participate in technical reviews
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree.
- 7+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace‑related industry.
- Experience in integration, verification, and validation of complex avionics or terrestrial systems.
- Experience in planning and conducting integration testing to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Experience with ARP 4754A.
- Advanced Engineering degree (Master’s) from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-331.
- Familiarity with testing network systems.
