Overview
Lutron Electronics is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Project Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. You will be a key part of our operations team, applying industry best practices to our supply chain function. Your contributions will help maintain our market position as the world leader in smart lighting and shading systems. A successful Senior Supply Chain Project Engineer will possess analytical skills and clear communication to interact with global manufacturers and the Austin production team to ensure on‑time delivery and meet or exceed customer delivery and quality expectations.
- Integrate the supply base resources with strategic purchasing, supplier quality, engineering, and manufacturing to support our growing business.
- Manage initialization of the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) in Lutron’s enterprise system.
- Perform tactical purchasing and supply chain change management.
- Utilize data analytics to support supply chain decisions.
- Drive product supply chain design to improve quality, delivery, cost, risk, and flexibility for current and new product introductions.
- Ensure material pipeline aligns with business needs and manage material cutover to optimize raw material inventory and pipeline risk.
- Implement and improve PFEP standard work, tools, and methodology with the product supply chain management team.
- Collaborate with procurement and supplier quality management team to develop supply chain competencies for future business.
- Interface frequently with Engineering, Customer Service, and Sales to develop business plans and forecasts.
- Coordinate with global manufacturing facilities and provide logistics support for high‑volume production.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, or a related Engineering Discipline.
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned.
- Proficiency in MS Excel is required. Proficiency in MS Access, SQL, and other reporting tools is a plus.
