Systems Validation and Verification Engineer III
Sky Grid, a Boeing Company, based in Austin, Texas, is looking for a Systems Validation and Verification Engineer III to support system validation, integration and verification activities for ground‑based high‑assurance services supporting autonomous aircraft operations.
In this role you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create test plans, design and execute manual and automated test cases, document test results, and ensure that industry standards and regulations are implemented. You will support integration testing, validate interfaces, data flow and communication protocols, and manage problem reports through resolution.
Performance Objectives- Identify validation and verification activities for system and subsystem requirements
- Develop validation and verification procedures and reports
- Identify the test setup and environment for “black‑box” systems
- Maintain validation and verification matrices
- Review system and subsystem requirements for accuracy, completeness, and testability
- Plan and conduct validation, integration, and verification activities for system and subsystem requirements per ARP 4754A criteria
- Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures in collaboration with functional teams
- Design and execute test cases, including manual and automated test approaches
- Execute complex test procedures, documenting modifications and test results
- Ensure testing aligns with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance practices
- Prepare documentation, artifacts, and traces to support program deliverables
- Collaborate with customers and participate in technical reviews
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
- 7+ years of experience in a highly technical, aerospace‑related industry
- Experience in integration, verification, and validation of complex avionics or terrestrial systems
- Experience planning and conducting integration testing
- Experience with ARP 4754A
- Advanced Engineering degree (Master’s) from an accredited institution
- Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-331
- Familiarity with testing network systems
