AboutThe Role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate HSE lead to develop and implement our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program. The role involves creating and maintaining safety policies, procedures and training programs in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. The HSE lead will collaborate closely with client, general contractor safety groups, field personnel and leadership to promote a culture of safety, manage incident reporting and drive continuous improvements in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute overall HSE plans, procedures and execution on a data center site during construction and operation phase.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements and international standards.
- Lead site safety inspections, audits, toolbox talks and incident investigations.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors and consultants to enforce HSE requirements.
- Deliver training and awareness programs for construction personnel.
- Have in-depth knowledge of LOTO program.
- Monitor high‑risk activities (e.g., heavy lifting, electrical works, confined spaces, hot works).
- Maintain accurate HSE records and generate regular reports for project stakeholders.
- Transition and adapt HSE systems from construction to operational environment.
- Establish and monitor safety protocols for critical infrastructure operations (e.g., power systems, HVAC, fire suppression).
- Conduct risk assessments and emergency preparedness drills for operational staff.
- Implement waste management, energy efficiency and environmental compliance programs.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for operational issues.
- Collaborate with facilities, security, and IT teams to ensure safe data center operation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as HSE, preferably in data center, industrial or mission‑critical environments.
- Proven track record in managing HSE during both construction and operational phases.
- Strong understanding of local HSE regulations and international standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑risk environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30‑hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards.
- Knowledge of Data Center Construction and Operations Safety.
- Demonstrated ability to form a program from start and build a strong safety culture.
- Owner’s Representative as Safety Lead.

The salary range for this position is $180,000 – $240,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
