Position Duration: Expected to Continue
PurposeAnalyze project CPM schedules from project managers and contractors to verify compliance with PDC PM policies and contract documents. Develop reports on analysis results, methods of recovery, and schedule enhancements to benefit the project and PDC clients.
Responsibilities- Analyze P6 CPM schedules and provide detailed reports identifying issues affecting the critical path of all CIP projects.
- Analyze Microsoft Project schedules developed by PMs and contractors.
- Monitor schedules periodically to validate resolution of identified critical schedule issues.
- Develop, present, and implement a CPM schedule development and recovery training syllabus for PMs, CAs, and leadership.
- Aggregate schedule analysis issues by project type to develop leading indicators and lessons learned.
- Provide guidance for the resolution of difficult project problems in coordination with the Project Controls Group.
- Complete other related functions as assigned.
- 5 years of design and construction scheduling and schedule analysis experience, emphasizing university or federal projects.
- Proficient in P6 and MS Project scheduling.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Understanding of CPM and Earned Value Management System.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop and present reports to diverse audiences.
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines.
- Will visit project worksites regularly to verify progress against analyzed schedules.
- 10 years of design and construction scheduling and schedule analysis experience, emphasizing university or federal projects.
- 3 years of experience with UT Austin and UT System projects.
- Familiarity with university purchasing, travel, and operational policies.
- Experience with university systems such as OPUS, FAMIS, Define, and others.
This job requires a class “C” driver’s license and a current three‑year driving record. Non‑Texas residents must obtain a Texas driver’s license within 30 days of becoming a resident.
Salary Range$90,000 plus depending on qualifications.

Retirement Plan EligibilityPosition eligible for Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) if at least 20 hours per week and 135 days in length. Optional Retirement Program (ORP) option for 40‑hour positions with minimum of 135 days.
