Purpose

Develop, administer, and implement study abroad opportunities for the BBA International Programs (IP) team, in the Texas BBA Program Office in the McCombs School of Business, a top‑ranked business school at a leading public research university.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of overseas and study away programs to support the international education goals of the BBA Programs Office. Assess existing BBA programming abroad and monitor student enrollment numbers to set admissions goals and identify new opportunities that best meet student needs. Ensure the completion of administration processes specific to their program portfolio. Support credit transfer and course approval processes for semester‑long programs.

    Manage relationships and correspondence with international university exchange partners. Maintain line of communication with ISSS regarding incoming international students taking courses ld and maintain professional relationships with key constituents and partners who support programs in their assigned portfolios. Serve as the primary contact for their program and maintain timely communication and email correspondence with students, partner institutions, and ISSS. Liaise with other units across campus and key staff who support our operations.
  • Recruit, advise, select, and prepare students for semester‑long programs abroad. Maintain Canvas pages, program materials, and various online platforms to communicate accurate, up‑to‑date information on IP processes and requirements. Develop a strong understanding of business degree requirements to provide McCombs students with appropriate academic and program advising for their degree. Manage the admissions and registrations processes for students enrolling in semester‑long exchange programs.

    Conduct pre‑departure orientations to prepare students to go abroad and deliver re‑entry sessions for students when they return. Support the review of scholarship applications and monitor student enrollment compliance. Contribute as needed as a risk management officer and student emergency contact for managing student incidents in collaboration with leadership and the Texas Global Risk and safety team. Review student application materials and nominate students for admissions to international exchanges.

    Support content creation and development of student sessions and informational materials. Supports incoming exchange student processes like course selection, registration, and orientation.
  • Develop promotional materials and support student outreach to increase awareness of BBA International Programs. Conduct information sessions for prospective students on program options and all IP offerings. Participate in tabling, fairs, and other promotional opportunities within McCombs and across campus. Support office‑wide events, departmental initiatives.
