POSITIONS PURPOSEConcordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct (part-time) Professor to teach POLS 1303
- American Government and Citizenship in person at our main campus in Austin in the mornings for our Fall, 2026 semester.
- Master's degree or higher Politics, Law, or a related field required
- Practical experience in the subject matter preferred
- Prior teaching at the higher education level preferred
- Love and passion for teaching and engaging diverse student populations required
- Ability to articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values

American Government & Citizenship is the foundational course in Government at Concordia University Texas. Utilizing the Constitution as the primary framework for the class, the class explores one’s role as a citizen of the United States and the frameworks necessary to have a properly functioning and restrained republic. The course emphasizes the long-term retention of fundamental concepts and critical thought.
