OverviewResponsible to prepare and deliver Advanced Manufacturing coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline‑appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to student success, respect for multicultural, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field.
Responsibilities- Prepare and teach courses in Advanced Manufacturing to a multicultural student population based on approved learning outcomes, using a variety of instructional strategies.
- Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback reflecting program learning outcomes and departmental expectations.
- Provide teaching and mentoring services to students in a non‑discriminatory manner.
- Remain current in the field through professional development activities.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by department chair, dean, or higher administration.
- Demonstrate proficiency using computer applications, online resources, and technologies for the classroom, including a learning management system such as Blackboard.
- Meet deadlines for attendance certification and submission of final course grades.
- Maintain regular office hours to assist students and improve retention.
- Recognize and reflect standards of civility and collegiality in all interactions.
- Comply with published college policies and procedures and meet professional standards for teaching.
- Appropriate use of the college’s learning management system.
- Educational requirements in accordance with SACSCOC accreditation standards (see Faculty Credentials tincc.edu/facstaff/faculty-credentials).
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly and understandably.
