Your role: guide an on‑site NYC Pre‑K group that develops a genuine love for school while demonstrating accelerated early‑learning outcomes—approximately 2x the progress seen in conventional preschools. You will create purposeful, sensory‑driven play experiences that integrate developmental objectives, then track progress each week and make rapid adjustments for individual children.

• Plan and lead 30–60 minute play‑centered learning sessions that cultivate joy, emotional security, and quantifiable developmental progress
• Build a classroom environment that supports movement and sensory exploration, sustaining high engagement and enabling four‑year‑olds to learn through diverse modalities
• Observe and record in the moment:
  Collect same‑day, objective observations linked to developmental domains, then refresh each child’s milestone tracking weekly
• Let data inform your teaching:
  Review weekly records to pinpoint each child’s next developmental threshold and design responsive instructional strategies
• Craft individualized, interest‑driven activity modifications based on what motivates each child, integrate one focused developmental objective, and reassess effectiveness within two weeks
• Support children navigating frustration through calm co‑regulation and emotional guidance rather than reactive behavioral management
• Share student progress, daily rhythms, and developing concerns with families in a clear and proactive manner

• Approach Pre‑K as custodial care instead of purposeful early education
• Default to scripted worksheets or compliance‑focused teaching methods
• Spend most of your day supervising academic apps rather than delivering live, experiential learning
• Apply reactive behavior management instead of calm co‑regulation and emotional coaching

Ensure NYC Pre‑K children develop a love for school while showing accelerated early‑learning gains through purposeful play.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, OR CDA/Montessori/Reggio credential
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with 3–5‑year‑olds in a structured group environment (classroom setting, not exclusively individual care)
• Documented success leading play‑based learning that produces visible developmental advancement
• Confirmed capacity to record developmental milestones objectively and reliably on a weekly basis using a structured framework or rubric
• Strong relational and emotional attunement skills:
  Capacity to establish trust rapidly, interpret emotional signals accurately, and apply personalized motivators to spark engagement
• Co‑regulation and frustration support:
  Assist children through emotional escalation using composed modeling and systematic emotional coaching
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship
• Available to work full‑time on‑site in New York City, NY
