Johnson City ISD is accepting applications for an Elementary Special Education Behavior Teacher for the school year. This position provides specialized academic & behavioral instruction to students with emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop & implement IEPs aligned with students' behavioral and academic goals;
* Use evidence-based behavior intervention strategies;
* Provide direct instruction in social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution;
* Design & implement Behavior Intervention Plans;
* Create a structured, safe, and supportive classroom setting;
* Maintain compliance with federal, state and district special education regulations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field;
Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education and EC-6 Generalist;
* Experience working with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities;
* Preferred experience in self-contained or alternative education settings.
