Overview

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Salary: $57,000

Raphael Springs Academy is a growing, Waldorf-inspired independent school devoted to educating the whole child through imagination-rich academics, wellness practices, biodynamic farming, purposeful movement, and meaningful connection with the natural world.

We are seeking a warm, skilled, and inspired Grade Teacher to join our vibrant faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. This educator will guide a combined class through a joyful, developmentally aligned Waldorf curriculum while embracing innovative, whole-child programs unique to our campus.

Why Raphael Springs Academy Is Unique

Waldorf-Inspired Education

Our core curriculum is rooted in Waldorf pedagogy with story-rich instruction, experiential learning, strong teacher–student relationships, arts integration, and developmental awareness guide everything we do in the grades.

Biodynamic Farming

As a biodynamic campus, children learn to understand the rhythms of nature, care for the land responsibly, and see themselves as part of a living ecosystem. Seasonal farm activities enrich classroom learning and support practical, hands-on discovery.

The Salt Room — A Pillar of Wellness

We are the only school in North America with a dedicated salt room designed specifically for children’s wellness. This serene space provides daily opportunities for:

  • nervous system regulation
  • mindfulness and breathing practices
  • meditation
  • sensory restoration
  • halotherapy-based wellness benefits

This unique environment helps students build emotional balance, inner calm, and self-awareness as part of their regular rhythm.

Functional Fitness & Creative Movement

Our functional fitness program and creative movement curriculum work together to help children develop strong, agile bodies and confident self-expression. Through purposeful, developmentally aligned movement, students explore balance, rhythm, coordination, and spatial awareness in ways that nourish cognitive, social, and physical growth.

Our custom-built low ropes course adds playful challenge. It encourages cross-body coordination, problem-solving, and teamwork, while creative movement invites children into storytelling, imagination, and expressive joy.

Livestock & Farm Education

Coming soon! Launching with our new flock of chickens, students learn animal care, ecology, responsibility, and the rhythms of farm life. This program helps strengthen practical skills and fosters stewardship of living beings.

Entrepreneurial Education

Our grades students engage in hands-on entrepreneurial learning, understanding value creation, developing small student-led initiatives, and discovering their own resourcefulness through practical real-world projects. As part of this work, students also learn the foundations of customer service: communicating clearly, showing gratitude, taking responsibility, and understanding the importance of serving others with care. These experiences help build confidence, social awareness, and practical life skills that will support them well beyond the classroom.
