INSTRUCTOR After School Care

Join the iKids Instructor Cohort and work at elementary schools. Hiring for Spring 2026, northwest Austin.

iKids Instructors lead group activities keeping fun a top priority! Teach 12-15 students in thematic crafts and creative stations. All lesson plans and supplies are provided by the campus supervisor. iKids provides an organized teaching environment for instructors interested in developing leadership and communication skills onsite at Austin elementary schools.

• Pay range: $15 - 18 per hour
• Afternoons 2:30/3:15 - 5:30-6:00 PM (Tue & Thur required)
• Instructors work up to 15 hours per week, 3-5x weekdays (no weekends)
• Part time following the  Austin elementary school calendar
• This position supports multiple elementary schools, weekly

• Implement iKids lesson plans in various enrichment courses
• Monitor and maintain child safety on playground
• Lead activities and snack breaks in school setting (classroom/gym)
• Provide homework assistance and actively engage with students
• Maintain classroom management
• Assist in organizing materials and a child-friendly space
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and parents
• Support iKids mission to provide high quality enrichment, tutoring, and care

• Experience with children (like camps, coaching, teaching, tutoring, workshops, child care, child development, teacher assistance, special education, child therapy, instructional assistance, assistant teacher, substitute teaching, or baby-sitting / childcare)
• Maintain a consistent, weekly teaching schedule, committed through May/June.
• Reliable transportation and currently residing in Austin metroplex
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Clear background and fingerprinting results
