Primary

Purpose:

Provide supervision and engaging learning experiences for our students, grades Pre-K3-8th, for our tuition-based After school Child Care program. Successful candidates will be energetic, kind, and have a desire to positively impact the world through education. The working days follow the school calendar when students are in session. Regular work hours are Mon-Th 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm, Fri 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

* High School diploma or GED

* Must pass a fingerprint background check

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Ability to relate to students and adults.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to work well with others.

* Able to lift 40 lbs.

* Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.

* Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.

* Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations

Experience:

* Prefer some experience in working with groups of children or youth.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the following duties for the After School Program:

* Planning activities for class each day,

* Planning enrichment activities,

* Parent Communication,

* Conducting the daily activities,

* Assisting with Homework,

* Creating a safe and warm environment,

* Conflict resolution within your class,

* Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
