Who we want:

The ASPIRE Program (Achieving Success through Parental Involvement Reading and Education) of Communities in Schools of Central Texas is seeking an Early Childhood Education Instructor responsible for managing an early childhood education classroom, curriculum development, lesson planning, administering developmental assessments (training provided), and providing age-appropriate infant, toddler, or pre‑school education in a safe and nurturing environment. Most importantly, our teachers have fun!

All materials and lesson planning time will be provided.

This position is ideal for daycare professionals, preschool teachers and child development students who desire a school‑type schedule (evenings and weekends off) with work‑life balance, up to 9 weeks paid time off per year including holidays, fully paid medical and dental insurance, and the opportunity to support children and families in our Austin community. This is a 32 hrs/wk, Monday through Friday position.

The starting salary range for this position is $2,833.34 /mo.

What you’ll bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience working with young children and their families
  • Demonstrated ability to work and maintain high standards of professional ethics with persons of different racial, ethnic, economic and social backgrounds
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee, with or without reasonable accommodation, must be able to walk, stand, sit, kneel, speak, hear, see, read, reach with arms and hands, and lift, carry, or move children and materials weighing at least 25 pounds
  • Must have reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and one year of experience working with young children and their families OR CDA and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Proficiency in any of the listed languages:
    Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Arabic
  • Experience working with families with a home language other than English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
