New hires, re‑hires, and internal hires will typically receive a starting salary between the posted minimum and the average pay of employees in their same classification. Offers will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications and will thoughtfully consider internal pay equity for agency staff who perform similar duties and have similar qualifications. The top half of the posted salary range is generally reserved for candidates who exceed the requirements and qualifications for the role.

The Special Education Regional Service Center (ESC) and Stakeholder Support Coordinator is a key member of the Division of Stakeholder Engagement and Field Support within the Office of Special Populations and Student Supports (OSPSS).
This role provides advanced program management to support the administration, implementation, and compliance of federal grant awards administered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The coordinator leads initiatives that apply design thinking and continuous improvement practices to strengthen the effectiveness, efficiency, and user‑centeredness of special education program supports for local education agencies. By using data‑informed decision‑making and actively integrating stakeholder feedback, the coordinator drives innovation, identifies emerging needs, and pilots new strategies to improve grant performance and engagement.
The Special Education Regional Service Center (ESC) and Stakeholder Support Coordinator ensures program guidelines are met, funds are used appropriately, and outcomes align with grant goals, while managing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and overseeing the strategic use of resources. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential for building consensus, guiding stakeholders, and coaching implementors through change, all while operating with significant independence and judgment.
Key responsibilities include integrating design thinking and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance statewide support structures; coordinating grant development and execution with TEA teams and ESCs; maintaining comprehensive grant implementation plans; strengthening stakeholder engagement through effective communication and relationship management; analyzing program data to inform improvement efforts and support reporting and audits; and fostering creativity by identifying needs, proposing solutions, and piloting innovative approaches that enhance grant effectiveness and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
