The Program Specialist III performs complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TOYou will be a part of a fantastic team sharing employer-focused opportunities with businesses, colleges, non‑profits, and other workforce development stakeholders all around the state. You will meet, engage, learn, educate, coordinate, present, research, plan, and provide technical assistance to a diverse audience of new and long-time partners. You'll create and nurture new and existing relationships and provide world‑class customer service.
You'll discover and address workforce development needs while remaining flexible and adaptable to new challenges and opportunities. But most importantly, you'll contribute to a great mission. Perform other duties as assigned.
- One year and six months of full‑time experience in the development,implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in apublic or private agency.
- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
- Project management experience within a business, economic development organization, chamber of commerce, state agency, workforce development board, and or community college environment.
- Experience with presentation preparation, public speaking, sales, marketing, outreach techniques, and public relations.
- Experience with grant development and review.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
