Special Education Teacher (Collaborative/Modified Math) Austin, TX

Pay Rate: $45 per hour
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Dates: ASAP – May
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to individuals with diverse learning needs. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will play a key role in planning and implementing individualized programs, collaborating with other professionals, and supporting learners’ academic success.
This position focuses on a collaborative/modified math setting, with a caseload of approximately 10 individuals. Support staff is available, and competency in math is required (math certification is not required).
Responsibilities- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to individual needs.
- Lead the learning environment and manage day-to-day operations.
- Assist individuals in achieving their goals through group and one-on-one support.
- Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
- Special Education Certification (preferred).
- Endorsement:
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred). - Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred).
- Current CPR certification (if applicable).
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
- Current health certificate (per state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
