Sociology - 2025-26 Professional Track Faculty Pool
The Department of Sociology at The University of Texas at Austin seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non‑tenure track positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are normally made on a semester‑by‑semester basis, though sometimes a year‑long or years‑long appointment may be made.
Positions are renewable annually or multi‑annually, contingent upon funding, position and performance. Salary is dependent upon position and qualifications.
A Ph.D. in Sociology is preferred. Previous college‑level teaching experience is required.
