The Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenure‑track faculty positions

Artificial Intelligence and Applications
: foundational machine learning or machine learning applications

All positions are subject to the availability of funding.

The department is ranked among the top computer science departments in the country, with 57 tenured and tenure‑track faculty members across all areas of computer science. Faculty frequently participate in interdisciplinary programs and centers, including:

• Texas Robotics
• Institute on Foundations of Machine Learning (NSF AI Institute)
• Learning Directed Operating Systems (NSF Expeditions in Computing)
• Good Systems Grand Challenge on Ethical AI
• Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC)
• Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Science

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computer science or a related area at the time of employment

Expected to pursue an active research program

Expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses

Supervision of graduate students in research
