Special Education Teacher – Austin, TX (Elementary Focus)

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

End Date:
May 23, 2026

• Deliver high-quality instruction and support to K–12 special education students
• Collaborate with general education staff to implement individualized programs
• Provide tutorial assistance and consultation
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Facilitate ARD meetings and manage student cases effectively

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate (required)
• Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Certifications preferred:
• Standard Elementary Teaching
• Standard Secondary Teaching
• Standard Special Teaching
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• One paraprofessional assigned to classroom
