Private Early Childhood Development Educator (Gifted/Talent Focus)

Location:
Austin, TX (Westlake)

Schedule: 2–3 hours/day in-home, 5 days/week (flexible); additional paid hours for preparation, lesson design, and family debriefs.

Children: 4 and 2.5 year olds

We are seeking a Private Early Childhood Development Educator with expertise in gifted/talent development to design and lead structured, playful daily “learning games” for two young children. This is not childcare—it is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a family creating a modern, Polgár-inspired program emphasizing daily deliberate practice across communication/oratory, math/probability, emotional intelligence, music, and proprioception. The ideal candidate believes learning is fun and can bring creativity, joy, and structure to sessions.

Responsibilities include planning and leading daily activities, creating skill ladders across domains, and ensuring week-to-week continuity. You will advise on educational materials, join monthly calls with a strategic consultant, and provide regular debriefs to parents and grandparents, equipping them with simple tools to reinforce learning. Sample activities include storytelling and persuasive speech games; logic puzzles and probability play; role-play and perspective-taking for emotional intelligence;

musical exploration; and physical games to build balance, coordination, and strength. The educator will also track milestones and ensure sessions are engaging while stretching skills.

Qualifications:
Graduate or postgraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field; experience with gifted/accelerated learners; strong grasp of child psychology, scaffolding, and measurable skill development; ability to integrate math, oratory, and music into playful practice; openness to innovative frameworks.

Compensation: $40–75/hr depending on experience. Long-term role (12+ months) with additional paid
