Dr. Passalacqua and Dr. Moodie will supervise the post‑doctoral scholar and the scholar can be based in Austin, Texas or College Station, Texas. The scholar will have research and travel support to complete the research objectives and visit among the participating institutions. The position is for one year and may be renewed for a second year.

20 research group in the Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and the Moodie research group at Texas A&M invite applications for a postdoctoral research scholar.
- Numerical modeling on the role of humans in delta morphodynamics
- Support collaboration with stakeholders
- Integrate anthropogenic management of delta landscapes into numerical models
- Other related functions as assigned
PhD by the time of appointment in Civil Engineering, Earth Science, Geography, or a related field, and be within 3 years of receipt of doctoral degree.
Preferred QualificationsThe candidate will preferably have expertise in landscape evolution modeling, geomorphology, and/or human‑natural system interactions.
Salary Range$65,000 + depending on qualifications
