* Free rides on all UT Shuttle and Capital Metro buses with staff  more details, please see:  and ## Purpose The Academic Program Coordinator will support the SCL academic affairs office and student-facing programs of the School of Civic Leadership. This role will collaborate with the assistant director of academic advisor to support core degree-progress processes, manage student-services initiatives, and deliver advising to SCL students.###

## Responsibilities
* Support the Academic Affairs office in developing, coordinating, and implementing student services initiatives (e.g., Degree Audit (IDA) system, Degree Certification, Orientation, Graduation). Maintain accurate informational materials and online resources for student programs and services. Oversee the SCL Scholarship process through the LASSO platform, including communications, disbursement, data collection, reporting, and assessment for continuous improvement.
* Serve as a liaison with degree auditors and campus partners (ROTC, Plan II, JSP, etc.) to support student progress, degree certification, and related academic processes.
* Advise prospective and transfer students and assist with orientation and transition to the university.
* Represent SCL Student Services at orientations, recruitment, commencement, and other university events in collaboration with students, families, faculty, and staff.
* Participate in university committees, events, and initiatives that promote student success, retention, and community connection.
* Assist with administrative processes related to student records, degree certification, and program logistics.
* Perform other duties as assigned.##

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience working with college students in an advising or counseling capacity.
* Professional demeanor; strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
* Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*##

Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree and four (4) years of experience in higher education, student affairs, liberal arts, or communications.
* Experience working with high school or college-aged students.
