Job Description

Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. A state-issued Teacher Certification in the appropriate area or grade level and prior teaching experience is preferred. All Hyde Park faculty are expected to have a commitment to continued professional growth to meet the needs of the 21st-century classroom through educational articles, research, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements
  • Spiritually prepare to serve students and families.
  • Fully engage and participate in an authentic professional learning community, taking initiative to think and learn at high cognitive levels for the benefit of students.
  • Create, design, implement, and adjust high-quality instructional lessons every instructional day.
  • Coordinate and direct the school musicals each semester.
  • This position will regularly interact with students, parents, faculty, and administrators and requires strong interpersonal competency and the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Identify and address the learning needs of all students.
  • Provide academic assistance to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Serve as a member of their subject area team and display a strong sense of collaborative professionalism.
  • Participate in Team Learning, grade-level, and faculty meetings.
  • Use assessment data and documents student progress and achievement; assesses and analyzes student strengths and needs; designs and implements appropriate instruction to facilitate learning and growth.
  • Assist parents by providing academic information, suggesting available educational and social resources, addressing parents’ concerns, answering questions, and communicating effectively.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Adheres to strict student confidentiality
  • Attend weekly chapel service with students
  • Additional duties may be assigned
