Overview
Primary Care Physician – Family Medicine Board Certified. We’re seeking a Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine board-certified) to provide medical H&Ps, consults, and follow-ups at a contracted inpatient behavioural health facility in the Austin area.
This role is ideal for physicians looking to step away from the traditional hospital grind and into a predictable, balanced schedule.
Qualifications- MD or DO
- Texas Medical License
- CPR Certification
- DEA Certification
- Family Medicine board-certified
- Based in / able to relocate to Austin prior to start date
- Complete medical history & physicals for all new admissions within 24 hours
- Manage basic medical conditions, including blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes
- Review and manage abnormal lab results
- Provide medical consults and follow-ups
- Supervise, schedule, and review charts for PAs and NPs
- Collaborate closely with inpatient behavioural health teams
- Excellent work-life balance – 8-hour shifts are the norm
