A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
About the Facility LocationThe facility is located in Austin, TX.
About the Clinician's WorkdayThe role requires board certification or fellowship, with a 30-day privileging timeframe and no state licensing exceptions. It involves 8-hour shifts, no call, and no overtime, handling general, neuro, ortho, OB, pediatrics, and cardiac cases. The hospital uses paper charting with electronic orders, has 18 anesthesia rooms, and follows a care team model (4:1 CRNA-to-MD ratio). MDs supervise and perform their own cases, with limited pediatrics, busy L&D units, and possible interfacility travel.
