ER PHYSICIAN - AUSTIN ER - Arboretum - $205/hr

Altus Community Healthcare is looking for an ER Physician to deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective emergency medical care across specified locations. The focus is on providing quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

• Part Time Physician – commitment obligations of 72 hours/month

• Immediate Evaluation and Diagnosis:
  Assess patients’ medical conditions upon arrival in the emergency room.
• Administering Treatments:
  Provide urgent medical treatments, including performing necessary surgical procedures.
• Stabilization:
  Ensure patients are stabilized before further treatment or transfer to other medical departments.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, paramedics, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Diagnostic Tests:
  Interpret various diagnostic tests.
• Communication:
  Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment plans.
• Record Keeping:
  Document and maintain detailed records of patients’ visits, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
• Professional Development:
  Stay updated with advancements in emergency medicine and participate in ongoing professional development activities.

• Quality KPIs:
  Prioritize patient experience and clinical outcomes, each metric tied to a specific goal.
• Throughput KPIs:
  Evaluate operational efficiency, specifically the speed and smoothness of patient flow.
• Citizenship KPI:

• Active Texas State Licensure
• Completed Residency in any Specialty
• One year of Emergency Medicine or an Emergency Medicine Residency
• PALS/ACLS/ATLS (BLS preferred)
• Experience in a free-standing emergency department or urgent care setting (preferred)
• Experience managing multiple clinical sites and leading cross-functional teams
• Medical degree from an accredited medical institution or program
• Deep knowledge of current medical practices, procedures, and equipment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work and think quickly in a high-stress environment
• Internal, Family or Emergency Medicine backgrounds are preferred
