North Arrow Studio – Part‑Time Designer
North Arrow Studio has an opening for a part‑time Designer. We are looking for an enthusiastic and disciplined applicant with a solid design foundation and an interest in boutique commercial and residential projects.
Responsibilities- Research
- Material investigations, product sourcing, code research, zoning analysis, and precedent studies
- Marketing & Business Development Support
- Project documentation, social media content, website updates
- Renderings & Graphics
- Creating compelling visualizations, diagrams, presentation boards, and client‑facing graphics
- Drafting & 3D Modeling Support
- Assisting with construction documents, schematic design, and digital modeling
- Job Site Observations
- Occasional site visits to observe construction progress, document conditions, and understand how drawings translate into built work
- General Studio Support
- A variety of evolving tasks that support the design and construction process. We are a small office and we value adaptability
- Design professional with 1–4 years of experience in an architectural practice
- Strong design sensibility and graphic skills
- Proficiency in common design and modeling software
- Clear communication skills and professional demeanor
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated
- Ability to manage time effectively in a part‑time schedule
