Contract Packaging Designer / Production Designer

A growing consumer brand is seeking a Packaging Designer or Production Designer with hands‑on packaging experience to join on a full‑time contract basis in Austin, TX. The engagement is expected to start as soon as possible (ideally within two weeks) for an initial 90‑day term

This role is best suited for a detail‑oriented designer who excels at iterating, adapting, and implementing existing packaging designs rather than creating net‑new concepts.

• Minimum 2 years of packaging design experience
• Proven experience working with packaging dielines and preparing production‑ready packaging files
• Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong ability to take and execute design direction
• Comfortable working within established brand guidelines and design systems

• This is not a senior‑level role
• Focus is on execution, production, and iteration rather than concept development

• Required to work on‑site Monday through Thursday in downtown Austin, TX
• Remote work available on Fridays

The pay for this W‑2 position ranges from $40-$50 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
