Job Description & How to Apply Below
ADLA Studio is a landscape architecture and design-build firm creating inspired outdoor environments across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. We are seeking a Landscape Designer to support our design team through concept development, technical documentation, and collaborative execution from early design through construction.
This role is ideal for a designer who is both creative and detail-oriented, comfortable moving between conceptual design, technical drawings, and coordination with internal teams.
What You'll Do
- Develop design concepts, schematic plans, and detailed landscape drawings for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
- Create site development plans during early stages of the design development process
- Prepare planting plans, hardscape layouts, grading concepts, and material palettes aligned with design intent and project budgets
- Assist with construction documentation, redlines, and revisions throughout design development and build phases
- Coordinate with internal design-build and construction teams to ensure designs are feasible, buildable, and clearly documented
- Support estimating and take-offs as needed in collaboration with project managers
- Organize and maintain project files, drawings, and documentation within Asana and shared drives
- Participate in client presentations and design meetings as needed
- Conduct site visits to support design accuracy and implementation
- Stay current with landscape materials, planting strategies, and sustainable design practices
What We're Looking For
- 3–7 years of experience in landscape design or landscape architecture
- Proficiency in design and drafting tools (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite; Lumion or similar a plus)
- Strong understanding of site planning, grading concepts, drainage, materials, and planting design
- Ability to translate conceptual ideas into clear, build-ready drawings
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, design-build environment
- Tech-proficient and AI-savvy, with curiosity and openness to evolving design tools
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a design-build firm
- Familiarity with Asana, LMN, or similar project management systems
- Knowledge of Central Texas plant palettes and climate conditions
