About the RoleWe're looking for a creative, self-directed content creator to own Xyra's social media presence on Tik Tok and Instagram. This is not a supporting role, you will be the face and voice behind the content, bringing real energy and creativity to everything that goes out.
The GTM lead will provide the strategic framework, content direction, weekly themes, specific content ideas, and calendar structure
. Your job is to take that foundation and make it come alive. You'll have room to pitch your own ideas, add your own creative spin, and bring instincts the strategy alone can’t plan for.
Think of it as a true collaboration: the strategy is set, the creative is yours.
This role is ideal for someone who lives at the intersection of creativity, storytelling, and culture, and who isn't afraid to challenge what's already out there.
No specific degree or major required. If you create content, understand what stops a scroll, and want to build something real, we want to hear from you.
The Role- Remote (GTM Lead is located in Austin, so in person is available for Austin applicants)
- Paid internship with potential for continued opportunity based on performance
- $250 base pay per month
- + commission structure available based on strong work and results
- Own and manage a weekly content calendar across Tik Tok and Instagram
- Receive a strategic framework and weekly direction from the GTM lead, then bring it to life in your own creative voice
- Conduct ongoing observation of competitor content, platform trends, and cultural moments to identify what's working and what's being overdone
- Identify opportunities to do something different (not just follow what's trending)
- Creative Execution - Produce one short-form video per day — concept, film, edit, caption
- Submit all content for approval a full week before its scheduled publication date, allowing time for feedback and revisions before anything goes live
- Bring a strong creative point of view to every piece of content (consistency in voice and aesthetic matters)
- Experiment with formats: talking head, text overlay, POV, day-in-the-life, product demo, storytelling
- Lead organic growth through compelling content, smart posting cadence, and genuine community interaction
- Optimize based on platform behavior: hashtags, CTAs, timing, format, sound
- Stay current on algorithm updates, platform changes, and emerging content formats
- Monitor and respond to comments and DMs to build real connection with the audience
- Track weekly performance across key metrics: watch time, completion rate, saves, shares, comments, profile visits
- Diagnose why content wins or loses: hook, format, timing, sound, length
- Report findings directly to the GTM lead at a minimum every two weeks, with daily communication ongoing
- You have a passion for creativity and aren't afraid to challenge trends or do something completely different
- You have a strong gut instinct for what stops a scroll
- You understand the unique language, culture, and behavior of Tik Tok and Instagram
- You're self-directed and take ownership
- You communicate openly, show up consistently, and take feedback and run with it
- You are passionate about start-up culture
- Active Tik Tok or Instagram presence with original content in any niche or size
- Familiarity with short-form video editing tools such as Cap Cut, InShot, or similar
- Understanding of social analytics and what the numbers actually mean
- Any experience with influencer outreach or creator partnerships is a plus
- Background or genuine interest in productivity, technology, wellness, finance, or lifestyle content
- Paid internship with commission opportunity
- Early access to Xyra before public launch
- Real ownership (you run the channels, not shadow someone)
- Hands-on GTM experience building a product from the ground up in real time
