We are looking for an intern to help promote the projects and programs for the Information Technology Division (ITD). If you are a college student and enjoy collaborating with people and marketing brand awareness, we would love to hear from you! This position involves developing content and materials for release to various communications media on behalf of ITD. Additionally, this position will collaborate with districts and divisions to share information as part of the Business Relationship Management program.

Performs informational, communications and marketing work involving the collection of information to develop, create, and produce content and materials for release to various communications media (broadcast, print, digital, and/or social) and for use by the agency, the general public, and other government agencies.
- Prepare and edit organizational publications, news and informational releases, talking points and scripts, advisories, newsletters, fact sheets, and content for websites and social media; and other communications as identified.
- Design and direct informational and marketing campaigns related to Division or District services.
- Research, plan, develop and produce various written, audio/visual/photographic materials as assigned.
- Review and analyze incoming materials including literature, administrative rules, legislation and other research materials for pertinent information to be included in publications, documents or written summaries.
- Translate written and oral assignments into creative graphic products.
- Coordinate publication productions including layout preparation, design and selection of photographs and graphics.
- Coordinate with print shop for printing needs.
- Assist Business Relationship Managers with producing content for presentations and outreach.
- Assist Customer Experience Manager with survey analysis and outreach.
- Assist with video productions.
- Photograph Department functions.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.
Other ConditionsMust be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.
Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver s license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
Preferred QualificationsEnrolled in a College or University
Competencies: Knowledge of news and communication media; various social media platforms; editing and preparing informational material; design principles; and publishing and broadcast industries. Audio/visual equipment recording techniques. Illustrations, graphics and artistic compositions. Photographic processes and techniques. Writing methodologies and strategies to develop and implement appropriate informational and educational materials. Skill in editorial and design practices, and in the use of a computer and applicable software.
Ability to research and prepare information, to design communication plans and materials related to the goals and priorities of the agency, to compose usable content for websites and social media, to prepare copy and scripts, to design broad communications plans and materials, and to communicate effectively. Proficient skill in providing prompt and courteous customer service; advising customers when delays are necessary and following up on identified problems until resolved;
