Job Description:
The person is responsible for assisting the Estimating team in locating and contacting subcontractors/vendors for quotes, verify qualifications and obtain any other required information, maintain/update the estimate log and the Company's directory of subcontractors/vendors and track the status of bids (via Procore).
Position
Responsibilities And Duties:
- Support ensuring up to date plans, specifications and addenda are received and filed.
- Assist in contacting suppliers/vendors for pricing as needed.
- Solicit and communicate with subcontractors through the Bid Process.
- Update and maintain the company database of subcontractors/vendors.
- Request bids, verify qualifications and any other necessary information from subcontractors.
- Maintain estimate log and track bid status.
- Review project plans, requirements and specifications
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team.
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must have a high degree of professional integrity, and be able to work in a diplomatic, cooperative and organized manner.
- Familiarity with Construction software (Procore, Plan Swift, Construct Connect, Plan Hub) a plus.
