Project Safety Coordinator, TX

Safety Worxs is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator for a boiler project in Austin, TX. The position is local only with no per diem.

• Administer and oversee the project’s safety program throughout the full construction lifecycle.
• Implement and manage construction safety processes, including hazard identification, mitigation, and routine field inspections.
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare documentation with preventive recommendations.
• Provide documented continuing education and practical training in:
  • Fall Protection
  • Scaffolds
  • Excavation & Trenching
  • Confined Space
  • Crane/Equipment Operations
  • Electrical Safety
• Review and approve safety method statements and procedures related to high-hazard activities.
• Maintain accurate safety records, compliance documentation, and training evidence.
• Serve as a liaison with the ODR and project leadership for all safety matters.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to project safety standards and regulatory requirements.

• 7+ years building construction safety, including 5+ years in construction safety process management.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety and 3+ years of actual field safety experience.
• Documented continuing education in the following, dated within the last 5 years:
  • Fall Protection
  • Scaffolds
  • Excavation
  • Confined Space
  • Crane/Equipment Operations
  • Electrical Safety
  • Incident Investigation
  • Other relevant safety/health topics
• Must possess OSHA 500 (Construction Industry Trainer) or OSHA 502 (Trainer Update). (

  OSHA 10 or 30 and OSHA 510 do not satisfy the training requirement.)
• Current certifications in:
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) – all must be current within 2 years.
• Strong, demonstrated experience in incident prevention, field engagement, and enforcing safety compliance.
