As an Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in capturing, organizing, and delivering all project costs, specifications, and bids that enable Sales and Construction teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and at the highest standard.
What You'll Do- Prepare comprehensive, detailed project estimates for custom homes and high-end remodels, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Design teams to develop accurate construction budgets, bid packages, and client presentations.
- Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure all costs are accounted for.
- Source, solicit, and evaluate bids from qualified subcontractors and vendors, maintaining competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Track and maintain historical cost data and create cost databases for future projects.
- Support value-engineering decisions to optimize budget efficiency without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date project files in cloud-based systems for easy access by internal teams.
- Provide support for project financial reporting, including variance analysis, budget forecasting, and bid summaries.
- Communicate complex cost information clearly to internal teams, clients, and design partners.
- Detail-driven and highly analytical.
- Motivated by precision, clarity, and alignment.
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining rigorous documentation.
- Communicate professionally and consistently, with ownership of every estimate and cost decision.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating custom residential construction or high-end remodeling projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of residential building methods, materials, permitting, and construction sequencing.
- Proven experience preparing accurate estimates, budgets, and proposals for high-end residential projects.
- Professional references demonstrating reliability, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as CoConstruct, Buildertrend, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)
