Brief Description
Superintendent II is a senior field leader accountable for full-site execution on complex, high-visibility, or multi-phase projects. This role drives all aspects of field performance—including schedule planning, subcontractor accountability, manpower coordination, safety enforcement, and quality control—while mentoring and developing the next layer of site leaders. Superintendent II partners with Project Managers, clients, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure field delivery aligns with contract commitments, operational standards, and company values.
This role leads through change, solves high-stakes field challenges, and represents the organization with calm, confident leadership from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead full-site execution and oversee all subcontractor and vendor coordination across trades.
- Drive safety culture through audits, inspections, and proactive risk mitigation; ensure compliance with all safety documentation.
- Manage project closeout in full alignment with contract documents and operational standards.
- Review and analyze weekly labor reports and monthly job cost reports; implement corrective actions to maintain budget.
- Mitigate subcontractor change orders and back‑charges, document impacts to profitability.
- Lead development and updates of CPM schedules, including baseline, monthly updates, narratives, and delay fragnets.
- Mentor and develop field engineers and assistant superintendents, onboard new personnel and foster leadership growth.
- Ensure compliance with all jobsite reporting requirements, including daily reports, SOS entries, weekly unit reports, two-week look‑a‑heads, and monthly schedule updates.
- Represent the company in client meetings, inspections, and high‑stakes field decisions.
- Resolve complex field challenges with strategic thinking and calm leadership.

- This role requires regular physical activity, including walking, standing for extended periods of time, and working in various outdoor conditions as part of daily field operations. Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather, if needed. This may include climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching. Occasional office work will be required.
- Occasional heavy lifting (=50 lbs./=22.7 + kg) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10lbs of force is more common.
- Strong manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g. computers, mobile devices, copiers, etc.).
- B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
- Two or more years in a leadership role
- 2+ years of experience as a Superintendent I
