HEI Civil is a top heavy civil construction company serving Colorado, the Carolinas, and Texas, with a focus on safety, people, quality, and production.

• Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in underground utility construction projects and prepares the site for the contracted scope of work.
• Shovels dirt, concrete, asphalt, and other materials into construction areas.
• Excavates and fills trenches and ditches.
• Maintains a clean job site, delivers tools and equipment, and secures the site daily to eliminate hazards.
• Performs materials handling and storage; loads and unloads trucks and hauls/hoists materials.
• Follows safety and incident reporting procedures; communicates problems to foreman, safety director, or supervisor.
• Work hours begin at 7:00 am.
• Assists pipe layer, equipment operator, and foreman as needed.
• Traffic control flagging as needed.

• OSHA 30 preferred; minimum OSHA 10 accepted.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• Experience:
  
  Two years of experience (preferred).

• Work outdoors in varied weather, including freezing temperatures to heat above 90 degrees, and in wet and dry conditions.
• Possible work in confined spaces; exposure to odors, gases, dust, and dirt.
• Noise level may range from moderate to loud.
• Lifting/carrying 10–60 pounds frequently; up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Reaching and lifting overhead; standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching a majority of the time.
• Manual labor including hand digging may be required.
• Some Saturday work;
  Sundays rarely needed.
