Construction Materials Testing Field Technician

Location:

Austin, TX

No experience necessary, paid training is provided and we pay your certification fees.

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials on construction sites, including soils, aggregates, and concrete.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete following industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations and data reduction; assist with drafting and administrative duties.
• Maintain daily communication with contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changing site conditions.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings with precision.

• Support you in enhancing professional skills.
• Encourage participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities (OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, WACEL, etc.).

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Willing to learn heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Willing to gain knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM standards, leading to certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
