Senior Product Manager, Fleet Operations

Ever imagined saying, “I helped launch the future of transportation”?

We’re rewriting the rules of urban mobility. At Vay, customers tap a button and a car arrives - with no one inside - powered by our world‑first Remote Driving technology on real public streets.

We’re live in Las Vegas and scaling fast, powered by a strategic investment of up to $410 million from Grab. Our mission is simple: replace private car ownership with a faster, cleaner, door‑to‑door mobility model. If you want to build something real, visible, and genuinely transformative, you’ll feel right at home here.

What’s happening at Vay
  • First to roll out vehicles in both Europe and the USA on public roads without a human being inside & currently the 2nd largest commercial, driverless car fleet in the Western World.
  • We’ve partnered with Kodiak to bring remote‑driving technology to autonomous trucks in the US, showcasing our ability to integrate our system into heavy‑duy commercial vehicles and expand the applications of our tech across the US.
  • We’ve completed 10’s of thousands of trips so far and are busy multiplying our Las Vegas fleet just to meet demand!
  • …And soon we’ll be expanding across the US & Europe 🚀
Why this role is exciting

As our Product Manager on the ground in Las Vegas, you will sit at the heart of where our product meets real drivers, real vehicles, and real operations. This is where insight turns into impact. You will shape how our service scales across the US by testing ideas live, learning fast, and turning real‑world behaviour into product decisions that define future markets.

You will help shape the internal service infrastructure to optimize maintenance workflows, ensure high reliability for our fleet, and drive efficiency and excellence in our remote driving / flydoctor services. Your expertise in service systems will enhance operational efficiency and support the scalability of our growing operations.

You will work day‑to‑day with operations and customer support in Las Vegas while owning the product roadmap and delivery along with the rest of the cross‑functional team based in US & Berlin. This is a hands‑on role with real ownership over discovery, delivery, and live performance of remote driver and ops facing features; working closely with senior leadership and will play a defining role in shaping how our US product organization scales.

What

you'll be driving Customer Discovery & Validation
  • Own user discovery in the US through direct user interaction, customer support insights, ride data, and on‑ground observations.
  • Lead interviews, testing and experiments to validate problems and solutions before they enter the product roadmap.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on real operational and customer impact, not just feature demand.
  • Customer Obsessed:
You obsess over the pain points of internal partners (Remote drivers & Support Team, Field Service Agents/Fly Doctors) and external customers to craft solutions that drive efficiency and reliability. You will invest your time to deeply understand the various workflows by rolling up your sleeves and giving it a try yourself.
Feature Development & Quality Assurance
  • Inform Operations roadmap. You know what it takes to operate a safe and efficient commercial service. Given your vision of the big picture, you prioritize and define the products needed to make it a reality.
  • Build tools to scale. You lead the team to define, design, and develop innovative solutions that give our Operations Team “superpowers”. Your step‑change products directly influence the number of operators we need to operate each vehicle.
  • Own user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features in‑market before public release. Drive fast feedback loops post‑release to iterate quickly.
  • Partner with engineering and design to ensure features ship at high quality and meet real customer and operational needs.
Operational Alignment & Cross‑Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with the US operations team to ensure product updates align with real‑time service needs and operational insights.
  • Act as the product owner, advocating for US operations needs with Berlin‑based cross‑functional teams,…
