Payroll Specialist

This is a hands-on Payroll Specialist contract requiring someone who can independently manage end-to-end payroll, confidently handle year-end close, and proactively optimize the Paycom system to better support business needs.

• Process full-cycle payroll for up to 250 Texas-based employees using Paycom
• Ensure compliance with Texas payroll laws and regulations
• Execute and manage year-end payroll close activities within Paycom
• Review and optimize Paycom configurations, workflows, and reporting
• Accurately process special pay types including shift differentials, premium pay, mileage, bonuses, and commissions
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and system efficiencies

• 3+ years of hands-on Paycom payroll experience
• Proven ability to manage payroll independently from start to finish
• Strong understanding of year-end payroll requirements and deadlines

• Experience in complex payroll environments
• Familiarity with multiple special pay structures and calculations
