Job DescriptionThe Shipping/Receiving Coordinator supports Shipping & Receiving of products both internally and with external customer deliveries. Working under the Contracts Production department, this role reviews contract shipping/reporting requirements, coordinates with internal teams and external carriers, and maintains alignment with FAR and DCMA standards.
- Review contracts to determine shipping, packaging, and reporting requirements.
- Package, ship, and track outgoing orders using carriers (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, freight, etc.)
- Ship both Domestic and Internationally ensuring Customs paperwork is properly filled out.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, supplies, and equipment against purchase orders.
- Deliver received materials to the appropriate staff or departments.
- Prepare and complete all shipping/receiving documentation.
- Support cross‑training with Production, Inventory, and Quality teams to ensure operational coverage.
- Update/Maintain the Shipping/Receiving Procedures Workbook
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or trade certification preferred).
- 3+ years of shipping/receiving experience
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds and perform warehouse tasks (standing, bending, carrying).
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with online shipping/purchasing systems.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident) due to export‑controlled materials.
- Familiarity with ITAR and FAR compliance.
- Exposure to ASTM D-3951 (Commercial Packaging) and MIL-STD-129 (Military Marking for Shipment and Storage).
- Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills; able to follow and maintain written procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Due to the nature of the programs we deliver for our customers, candidates may need to obtain the relevant security clearance or handle export‑controlled material as defined by the role's requirements.
