Overview

Mudflap serves the $800B trucking industry, the backbone of the U.S. economy. Our market-leading payment products help truckers save thousands of dollars on fuel (their #1 business expense), while providing our fuel stop partners with access to new, hard-to-reach customers. We’re a fast-growing marketplace business looking for a new exceptional senior engineer who will be an instrumental part of the team.

Mudflap is looking for a Partner Success Manager to support and grow our network of independent fuel partners. In this role, you  be the main point of contact for our independent merchants helping them succeed on the Mudflap platform by driving engagement, resolving issues, and ensuring they see value from the partnership.

You  build strong relationships, provide proactive consultation, and work cross-functionally with Ops, Product, Success, Support, and Sales to improve the partner experience. This is an ideal role for someone who  customer-obsessed, organized, and passionate about helping small businesses thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Own the post-launch success of our independent truck stop partners
  • Monitor partner performance at scale using metrics to surface trends, identify risks, and prioritize action across the network.
  • Build and strengthen partner relationships by being a trusted, proactive point of contact someone who listens well, follows through, and adds value consistently.
  • Define and iterate on partner health signals, playbooks, and scalable processes that allow us to operate efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for partner needs and remove friction in how we serve them.
  • Move quickly and act with ownership whether that means jumping into a problem, creating structure where there isn  any, or driving a solution forward independently.
  • Communicate clearly and thoughtfully whether it  with a partner, a teammate, or in reporting insights to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of activity and results
Experience (What we look for)
  • 5+ years of experience in customer success, partner success, account management, or vendor support
  • Proven ability to manage a large and diverse portfolio of accounts while balancing both proactive and reactive work streams.
  • Strong analytical mindset comfortable interpreting data, making performance-driven decisions, and working with data teams to generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills you can adapt your style to different partner personalities and maintain trust, even during tough conversations.
  • Demonstrated ownership and bias for action you spot problems before they become escalations, and take initiative to solve them quickly.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams like product, support, and operations to advocate for customers and improve the end-to-end partner journey.
  • Highly organized and efficient with time management
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and data analysis tools (e.g., Looker, Excel, or SQL) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with merchant/vendor relationships in industries like logistics, fuel, retail, or B2B marketplaces is a plus

The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate  skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives.
