What to Expect

As part of an Operational Controls & Process Improvement team, you will be working on tough, critical-path projects and exciting challenges that do require immediate attention. These can be wide-ranging and located within different parts of the organization.

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating initiatives that ensure the organization adheres to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while promoting a culture of compliance and ethical business practices. The Program Manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align strategies with business objectives, drive process improvements, and ensure effective communication of policies and procedures across the organization.

This role is for you if you are used to and enjoy solving hard problems, you have a can‑do attitude with a strong sense of urgency and roll up your sleeves to get things done. A daily routine doesn't exist in our fast‑paced environment, which is why you must adapt to new circumstances regularly.

• Design and implement operational frameworks, policies, and procedures to address governance, risk management, and compliance needs
• Manage multiple operational projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, adherence to budgets, and alignment with organizational goals
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational programs, recommending and implementing improvements as needed
• Connect with relevant stakeholders and build cross‑functional relationships at all levels within Tesla, from the production floor to top management
• Work closely with legal, IT, finance, HR, and other departments to integrate operational practices into daily operations
• Act as a liaison between the organization and external auditors, regulators, or consultants
• Show high adaptability and eagerness to handle extra duties and responsibilities, supporting different areas of the organization beyond their main tasks when the criticality justifies it

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies

• Can‑do attitude with a sense of urgency
• Willingness to work on difficult challenges and projects regardless of discipline. 50% travel based on business needs
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present complex information clearly
