Investment Operations Associate

Ultranative is seeking a detail-oriented Investment Operations Associate to support our venture capital operations, with a focus on closing and managing our investments. This role will be essential in handling the operational backbone of our deals, from dealflow management and due diligence to investor relations, compliance, and reporting. You’ll work closely with leadership to ensure seamless execution of investments in early‑stage startups across health, food, AI, energy, and frontier industrial technology sectors.

• Investment Operations :
  Manage end‑to‑end workflows for SPV deals, including due diligence, documentation, and performance tracking.
• Investor Relations :
  Handle communications, reporting, and relationship management with limited partners (LPs) and investors.
• Fund Administration Support :
  Assist with compliance, legal workflows, and administrative tasks related to SPVs and investments.
• Project Management :
  Coordinate timelines and stakeholders to keep deals moving efficiently.
• Automation and Tools :
  Leverage AI and business software to streamline operations and workflows.

• Draft and distribute investor updates, quarterly reports, and fundraising materials tailored to SPV performance.
• Manage investor CRM and communication systems to track engagements and preferences.
• Assist with data room maintenance, LP outreach coordination, and onboarding for new investors.
• Track legal and compliance documentation related to investor engagements.
• Carry out light‑touch compliance operations, including cap table hygiene, basic regulatory filings with support from counsel, and data room readiness.
• Help ensure timely reporting and compliance deliverables for SPV performance tracking.
• Represent Ultranative at industry events and conferences to build networks and support deal sourcing.

• Track, manage, and maintain investment dealflow pipelines (e.g., in Airtable) for SPVs and other vehicles.
• Coordinate due diligence workflows for new investments, working with analysts and external partners.
• Maintain investment documentation, including SAFEs, equity agreements, cap tables, and SPV‑specific structures.
• Support portfolio monitoring, performance data collection, and analysis for closed deals.
• Facilitate legal workflows related to transactions (NDAs, contracts, closings) in collaboration with counsel.

• Interface with fund administrators to support capital calls, distributions, and financial reporting for SPVs.
• Track and organize fund performance data, legal documentation, and executed agreements across investments.
• Work with counsel, admin service providers, and accounting to oversee tax, regulatory filings, and compliance for SPVs and related entities.

• Own task and workflow management systems for investment‑related operations.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement AI workflows using tools like Lindy.
  
  AI, Zapier, Google Workspace, Airtable, Notion, and Slack.
• Manage relationships with contractors and partners (e.g., legal, designers) for deal support.
• Lead special projects related to SPV management and operational improvements.

• 2–3 Years of Relevant Experience :
  In venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or within a fast‑paced startup/VC operations role, with exposure to SPVs or deal management.
• Bias To Action :
  Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to execution.
• Familiarity with Venture Capital :
  Knowledge of VC diligence materials, key terms (e.g., term sheets, SAFEs, cap tables, data rooms), and SPV structures.
• Exceptional Communication Skills :
  Ability to communicate articulately and confidently with high‑net‑worth individuals and LPs.
• Business Software Acumen :
  Proficiency with tools like Airtable, Doc Send, Notion, G‑Suite, etc.
