Emerson’s Test and Measurement Demand Planning Team is looking for a highly analytical and experienced Demand Planner (Level
4) to join our fast-paced, multinational environment in Austin, TX. In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams across different business units, playing a critical role in driving our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to be part of a dynamic team that values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and implementation of the Business Unit (BU) Demand Framework:
    Oversee the end‑to‑end process for capturing, forecasting, and prioritizing demand within the business unit, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and resource allocation strategies
  • Participate actively and effectively in the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and business strategy
  • Provide detailed analysis and reports to support decision‑making, highlighting variances, trends, and forecast accuracy metrics
  • Make informed decisions and recommendations based upon strong business acumen and insights including company's products, customers, and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to harmonize demand planning practices
  • Act as a key contact point for demand planning within the organization, effectively communicating across teams and levels
  • Support ad‑hoc projects and initiatives that drive continuous improvement in planning processes and systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field. MBA or Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain, or forecasting roles
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple business units in a matrix or complex organizational structure
  • Proven track record of operating effectively in an S&OP‑driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to interpret large datasets and translate insights into actionable plans
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency with MS Office Suite and Power BI
  • Experience with Kinaxis Maestro or other advanced planning tools is a strong advantage
  • Lean or Six Sigma is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to stakeholders
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
