Summary

The Commercial Business Development Manager is a strategic growth leader responsible for expanding the company’s footprint within the commercial restoration sector in the Austin market. This role focuses on identifying high-potential opportunities, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, and executing targeted business development initiatives to drive revenue and market share. The ideal candidate will leverage deep industry knowledge, proven sales acumen, and a structured approach to consistently exceed targets.

Collaboration with sales, marketing, and operations teams ensures alignment and seamless execution of growth strategies. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, adaptability to market dynamics, and a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a competitive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial restoration market in the Austin area.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand market presence and achieve revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility managers, insurance adjusters, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competition, and emerging client needs in the Austin market.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close contracts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design and implement lead generation and campaign strategies.
  • Stay current on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in commercial restoration.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
  • Track, analyze, and report on business development activities, KPIs, and performance metrics.

  • Assist in onboarding and training new members of the business development team.
  • Contribute to the adoption and optimization of business development tools and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the restoration, construction, or facilities management industry.
  • Proven track record of success with commercial clients and documented achievement of sales targets.
  • Demonstrated experience working with restoration clients or in a closely parallel industry.
  • A clearly defined, repeatable sales process with measurable outcomes.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and other business development tools.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the Austin market.
  • Relevant restoration certifications are a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Primary work location is an office environment in the Austin market, with regular travel to client sites, industry events, and networking opportunities.
