As a Fractional Sales Lead, you will have a key role in shaping and systematizing the revenue generation engine. Your work will focus on brand partnerships, events, media products, and exploring new commercial opportunities. This position emphasizes strategic, relationship-driven growth rather than high-volume outbound sales, making it ideal for those with a deep understanding of both media and creator economies.
ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Development
- Develop a comprehensive sales and sponsorship strategy aligned with the brand, audience, and growth stage.
- Design and refine partnership products, including social media content, tentpoles, editorial sponsor ships, and book-industry programs.
- Create clear rate cards, offering decks, packaging, and pricing frameworks.
- Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities in branded content, experiential, and brand-aligned verticals.
Partnership Guidance & Relationship Building
- Shape a qualified pipeline of brands, publishers, agencies, and lifestyle partners.
- Utilize existing brand and agency relationships to shorten sales cycles and discover strategic opportunities.
- Support founders in high-priority outreach, introductions, pitching, and negotiation as needed.
- Develop long-term relationship strategies based on mutual value and audience alignment.
- Ensure partnerships align with the platform's tone, values, and community expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with founders to ensure partnership offerings are feasible, on-brand, and contribute positively.
- Translate the platform’s voice, mission, and community stance into sellable programs.
- Establish partnership processes, documentation, and internal best practices.
Market & Category Expertise
- Identify trends in romance, publishing, lifestyle, and media that present sellable opportunities.
- Provide insights on category prioritization, brand fit, pricing expectations, and long-term commercial viability.
- 5–10+ years of experience as a sales or partnerships leader in integrated media, creator-led programs, sponsor ships, and branded content.
- Strong network within agencies, lifestyle brands, publishing, entertainment, or women’s interest categories.
- Expertise in building sales foundations and frameworks without relying on existing systems.
- Strategic thinker with skills in messaging and market positioning.
- Proficient in pitching and negotiation, especially for key strategic opportunities.
- Familiarity with audience-first brands, fandom-driven media, and community-led engagement.
- Commitment to maintaining the brand's integrity and avoiding misaligned revenue pursuits.
This role offers a competitive fractional rate based on experience, with commission or incentive structures for sourced or closed strategic deals. The contract is set for 6–12 months with the potential for extension.
